Molded Plastic Billboard Sign with a printed Texaco advertisement paper insert.
The billboards have a magnetic insert on the back but will stand alone -or use a prop - look great in a HO scale train layout!
Dated 1995. Made in the USA.
Size: 2 5/8" tall, 3 3/4" wide, 1/2" deep.

The Roadside America series "Magnetic Billboards of Yesteryear" is a collection of plastic billboards, replicas of actual advertisements found across America. Each magnet has a colored plastic border around a decal of the advertisement in the center and a magnet on the back. Check out the rest of my auctions to collect the entire set!
Texaco was the first US oil company to sell its product nationwide under one brand name. By 1959, it was still the only marketer selling gasoline under one brand name in all 50 states. This way, no motorist would ever be more than a tankful of gas away from a brand name he knew and trusted!
This magnet features a busy city scene, with 1920s and 1930s model cars and a manufacturing skyline in the background. Two tall red Texaco gas pumps stand off to the side at a service station. In the foreground, a tall scrolled pole holds a round Texaco sign. The banner at the bottom of the billboard reads "ONE SIGN TO LOOK FOR"; the sign to the right of the billboard reads "One sign to look for, One Word to remember, TEXACO". The border of the billboard is bright red.
The sign will stand on its own, and will look great in a train display. Experts, please check the measurements and let me know which size this is considered? HO?
